punch or a baseball player charging the pitcher. Pro athletes, fans, and society need to all evaluate
themselves and try to make a change for the better that decreases the violence. The idea of sport
mirroring society, violence as a result of economic incentive, and the influence of the crowd
behavior are the reasons that I feel are responsible for the increasing violence in sports.
