Short summary.
Frederick Clegg lived in London. His dad died in a car crash in 1937 when he was only 2 years old. Later he was told it was an accident. After this, his mother went away with another man and Frederick's uncle an aunt took care of him. In his early twenties Frederick won the football lottery and won 73000 pounds. He bought a big house in London but he had just one dream:

you could feel a little bit of the tension between the two key characters. This was very fascinating and kept you reading on. Fortunately there weren't many difficult words in the story, which made it a lot easier and much more pleasant to read. Also because it was written in "diary style" there are not many flash backs so that mad it mu!
ch easier to understand and to follow the whole story.
