Arriving in the New World in the year of 1620 were the Pilgrims. Led by William Bradford, John Carver, and Miles Standish, the Pilgrims found survival to be very difficult. life. Had Squanto not taught the Pilgrims this method of farming crop production could have been much more difficult today, in that many nutrients may have been taken from the ground. Finally, by hunting the pilgrims were able to survive off of and enjoy many of the animals that are bred today strictly for food. It is a fact that Squanto was a major asset to the Pilgrims and future generations to come
