Everyone lives life differently; however, in the case of Neil and Finny, they loved life and always made it fun. The two of them lived in the beautiful New England area, had to deal with problems at school, and faced a tragic end. The two characters had dreams in life that they were unable to accomplish. Although the book, A Separate Peace, and the movie, Dead Poets Society, were not modeled off one another, they have numerous similarities. Both stories focus on two young boys who lost their lives due to problems someone else caused.
