other two papers: Textbook Turmoil: Tiananmen Square discusses the actions of the students and the government in Beijing, June 1989. It's harshly critical of the government, as well it should be. The Strangest Betrayal, my most recent work (June '99), is about the student revolt in France 1968 and how the French Communist Party intentionally stifled it. I found the whole deal extremely fascinating. Maybe you will too, and learn a bit in the process.
