A Contrast of Two Stories
William Faulkner wrote a short story called A Rose for Emily. The Story takes place in a southern town where the women are very inquisitive and curious about other people's business. And the men have this view that they have to be gentlemen and must abide by the rules of their forefathers.
Some people choose not to let circumstance rule them and, as they say, "time waits for no man".

desire or lust for. That is why when her father passed away she locked her self up and refused to see the world. But because she was a woman, and like any woman, she has desires and needs. The female specie's needs are greater than those of men. So in the end Emily was forced to see a man of lower class. Faulkner teaches a very good lesson. That no one must depend on others.
