Separate Peace, the main characters Finny and Gene transform into
different people by the end of the book. Transformation is a main theme in the book and it
is very relevant throughout the entire book. There is no way to avoid change. Sometimes
change happens for the better, sometimes for the worse. It is up to the reader to decide
