The White-tailed deer, commonly knows as the Virginian deer, is native to the eastern United States and has a furry white tail, hence its name. The white-tailed deer is one of the largest species of American deer. The buck, or male, is 72 inches in length, 36 inches in height at the shoulder and weighs close to 300 pounds. The white-tailed deer is a very strong and self-supportive species. Their population grows everyday. However, due to the destruction of the forest deer are running out of places to live and eat. Because of this, they wander in to back yards and farmland to find food. People see them as pest and kill them.
The white-tailed deer is like me because it is fierce and strong and loves to spend most of its time sleeping.
