In all of the plays by Shakespeare that I have read there are a lot of interesting characters. In reading Timon of Athens I was in introduced to another great character. Timon is this very generous character who likes to help his friends. Timon wants to help his friend Lucilius get married and he bails his friend Ventidius out of jail. friends will lend him any money. Through this dilemma Timon decides to go live in the woods away from the people of Athens. Through it all Timon comes to the conclusion that he hates all the men that he use to call his friends.
Timon is a generous and good character. He saw man as naturally good, but soon learned otherwise. Timon wanted to help his friends he just expected them to return the favor.
