Television itself has been around for at least half a century. At first, television showed wholesome family programs like Lucy, The Honeymooners, Andy Griffith, and others. It was a fantasyland for viewers, but as time went by they wanted different programs. In the late seventies and eighties, stations started to make detective shows with mild violence like Magnum PI, Magyver, and Knight Rider. From there, TV stations started to appeal to what their viewers want.

program. Placing blame on television is just a way to take blame off where it really belongs, on that person. Only people can determine what they want to do, who they want to be, why they do what they do, and where they want to go. To let entertainment determine your character is ludicrous. We have yet to realize that as a society we can determine what television should and should not show.
