However, having said this, by the end of the four monologues I have studied, nothing has changed, nothing has been resolved. Andrea Del Sarto is still as pathetic, Tithonus will never be put out of his misery, the duke is just as arrogant and Ulysses is still trying to persuade his crew to die for adventure.
