Chapter 11 starts with Odysseus and his comrades in the city of the Cimmerians. Here Eirce tells them to sacrifice the lambs for their blood to go to Hades. next obstacle that they would face was resisting the temptation to kill and eat the cattle on the island of Thrinacia, however, the men were starving and while Odysseus had fallen a sleep they killed the cattle and ate it. When Odysseus woke up he was devastated and Zeus sent the ship back to the monsters, here the monsters ate six of the men. Next they landed on Calypso's island; this is where chapter 12 ends.
