The Holocaust is described as the deliberate systematic persecution and annihilation of European Jews by Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945. If you stopped or stumbled during the walk you were killed instantly on the spot. The US soilders stopped the walks to the other camps in time before a lot of the people were killed. The camps were liberated between the years of 1944-1945.
