The duality of the piece adds to the attraction to it. The arrangement of the words, the use of language, and the vivid imagery all contribute to its multiple interpretations. This ambiguity is done so with great care, though. Cummings has allowed for the reader to choose the way in which she may prefer to decipher the meaning of the piece. The poem's initial lack of substance only adds to its final intrigue.
