This system has 6 raised dots based upon normal spelling. He soon went on to create Braille representations of music and mathematical expressions. Louis Braille later became a teacher and then died on January 6, 1852, at the age of 43, from tuberculosis. Over 180 years after Louis Braille's invention, it still remains unmatched by any later technological creations.
