In Tartuffe, throughout the play Orgon is in state of complete confusion and very lost of where he stands. He sees Tartuffe as a higher figure and listens to him as a master. Orgon makes many actions throughout the play emotionally that not only affect him but, his family as well. In Moliere's, Tartuffe, Orgon's decision making based on emotion rather than reason really hurt him. It tore his life up and his families up. He showed his family betrayal and gave a man whom he knew little of more trust and gratitude to than his whole family. The emotions Orgon believed led him to collapse and to believe a crooked Tartuffe.
