I'll never forget the seemingly endless summer camping trips to the lake in the Mojave Desert. We started out early in the morning, just as the sun was peeking out from the horizon, wearily yet excitedly loading up the van with our luggage and camping supplies. and less time for fun; we were growing up. Growing up without each other. This reality has been a shock, a shock from which we have never recovered.
