Hundreds of women gave the their whole lives, thousands gave years of their lives, and hundreds of thousands gave constant amounts of their time and aid to attain women's suffrage. It was a continuous, seemingly endless, chain of activity to achieve this right. The 1848 convention had challenged America to social revolution that would touch every aspect of life. Early women's rights leaders believed suffrage to be the most effective means to change an unjust system.

Nineteenth Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote.
In conclusion, today, equal treatment of the sexes continues throughout the workplace and outside. But our society, particularly women have gained so many rights due to the great work of such women as Catt Carrie, Paul Alice, Lucy Stone, and Elizabeth Stanton in their fight for women's suffrage. And hopefully with more leaders like these great women, we can attain true equality throughout our society.
