…showed last 75 words of 1741 total…at the end of the play, and although she lied, she was only desperate to find a happy ending for herself, and thus, is justified. I don't believe William's thought that Blanche deserved her fate, and he has tried to portray her as having no real control over her life. Williams had great sympathy for Blanche, as his sister Rose was thought to be insane too, he believed that she, like Blanche was just sensitive.
