The Globe Theater was the most famous and interesting theater in the Elizabethan era. It was built outside of London, after the triumphant reign of Queen Elizabeth I. Many of William Shakespeare's plays were written and performed there. "As Mike Constabile was reporting he added, " The idea of creating plays and theaters to perform them in was a strange new concept for the Europeans of the Elizabeth Era" (Shakespeare's Globe Theater).
