September 11, 2001, was a day of change for all of us in America. Everyone has changed in some essential way, and it seemed as if nothing would ever be the same after the terrorist attacks on American soil. On September 11, 2001, I changed, no matter how far away I live from New York, Washington D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The tragic events of September 11, 2001, have helped me to appreciate the people who I get to be around each day, especially my family and friends. I came away from this day with a different perspective on my life as an American.
