because it gave more insight about all the family members and what they were going through. The movie left out parts that I thought were important to the outcome of the book. The visual process of watching the movie was effective, but the book provided more for me, the reader. Nonetheless, both of these works thouroughly showed the hardships and the triumph of the Younger family.
