Plato believed in a dual world. There was the world of Forms, and the world
of "shodows." The world of shodows is the common world that we see
everyday. Every "shadow" has a form though. These forms were originated

remember. Therefore when the human soul sees the shadow (the actual
substance..a horse) the sould can remember what the idea looked like. The
world of Ideas is much more vibrant and illustrious then our everyday world..
If all we see is shadows our whole lives, then we see the actual being, there
is a huge difference there...
