With an excellent fighter group like the Wolf Pack and a rugged airplane like the P-47, the Allies were unstoppable. It might have not been a bomber, but it was no less important than the bombers that it had protected. Thankfully the P-47 and Wolf Pack were on our side because if they were not, the Allies might have had some problems.
