A lot is learned about one’s self when he travels outside his home. When he finds himself surrounded by nothing like himself, the comfort zone that he had is diminished. An example of this is when I have made trips up North with my family to work in the fields during the first 16 summers of my life. in my case I had done nothing wrong. I see people as strong and courageous when they are able to walk around with their heads held high even after they are put down and scoffed at. That’s why I am proud to be of Mexican decent. I know that I can handle any thing that life can through at me. I will succeed even though I am not part of the norm.
