problems. The play Our Town does this beautifully. If it were given the ending of the movie it would be entirely different. You don't think about life after that ending. Instead you think what a nice play. I wonder where I'm going to get dinner. I also think the play ending is more realistic, since no one is brought back to life like that, that ending stretches beyond the reaches of willing suspension of disbelief.
