There is much debate about genetic engineering. There are many potential dangers and caution is warranted. Obviously more research is necessary in order to prevent environmental hazards from this uncertain technology and education is needed for both producers and consumers of genetically enhanced food. However, despite these problems, this technology has incredible potential to dramatically enhance modern life and greatly benefit society on a worldwide scale and should not be dismissed.
