Wiesel's Night is about what the Holocaust did, not just to the Jews, but by extension, to humanity. People all over the world were devastated by this atrocious act, and there are still people today who haven't overcome the effects. Today many people still have to sleep at night knowing that they are going to have nightmares about what happened to them.

had survived all of the concentration camps, Elie nearly dies because his one wish came true. The book shows many truthful examples of irony. Food poisoning is just one of the many. However, no matter what is said about the Holocaust, there are no good things to come from it. No matter what, this time period was probably the worst of the past century. These feelings and beliefs were correctly depicted in the book Night.
