They were stripped of everything that made them who they were, including there religion, which allot of Jews turned there backs on thanks to the treatment they received. Hitler basically forced the Germans into beating, killing and other brutal behavior on the people he believed were not special. Some of the treatment they received were, they were starved, badly beaten, tortured in ways like hard physical labor, and even being murdered.
