When these two men were born no one would have imagined the impact they would have on the lives of people. Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 and about four years later Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929. Both men were the sons of Baptist preachers. Although Malcolm and King advocated equal, rights and they were both assassinated their lives started out totally opposed.

Although their goals were the same, the means in which to achieve them were different.
Malcolm believed in "any means necessary", and King believed in peaceful rallies and equal rights for all people regardless of race. Although both men had separate lives, they both believed in equal rights.
