For every action there is a reason,a desire and an emotion. You don't always know what your reason is for doing things. Most humans are unaware of their desires and emotions. Things just happen. These things have an effect of children and adults, just like the kids in Lord of the Flies.

Jack has a reason for his actions in Lord of the Flies. Instead of thinking of his desires, Jack finally decides to kill a pig for the reason of having meat instead of selfish pleasure. I think after everyone complained about food and not having any meat, Jack decided to kill a pig for the right reason. I think that he also wanted meat for himself.
