Decay and Deterioration in "A Rose for Emily"
"A Rose for Emily" was written by William Faulkner. This story was about a woman that had
been repressed by her father for many years and was not allowed to be with or around other men or
engage in many social interactions. When Emily's father finally passed away, she then fell in love with

days and wasn't even being studied yet, so if there was a mental illness she wouldn't have been able to
receive help. I do think that her neighbors in the area in which she lived should've been more attentive
and checked on her to help. "A Rose for Emily", was a good story and I enjoyed reading it.
