Another expact about the Grapes of Wrath was that in between chapters involving the Joads, a chapter would zoom out and show what was going on in the world that the Joads where living in. I could compare this book to the sun also rises, by Hemingaway, because both where set in the past. And both where very powerful novels that chronicled peoples lifes.
