Iago is the most interesting character in Othello, by William Shakespeare. Othello, finding out that he has wrongfully murdered Desdemona, commits suicide. Cassio becomes general in his place. Iago is arrested, and taken away to be tortured. In the end, Iago got his revenge against Othello, but not without bringing himself down with him.
