I began this paper in earnest to look at the differences in organized baseball during the segregated history of Mobile. (Ethier) Mobile has discovered the many achievements of its black baseball players, and continues to do so through its Mobile Bay Bears team. In honoring Hank Aaron by naming the stadium Hank Aaron Stadium, Mobile took a great step to help ease the pain of the past. I hope this continues in baseball and life as we travel down the road to equality.
