piece of work that, while undeniably entertaining, lacks a depth that might otherwise have been attained. There was no comic relief in the movie or at least none that is intentional. A few scenes are too!
obviously overacted, which lead me to an occasional chuckle. In fact, given the tone of this film, humor might easily have seemed an unwelcome intrusion. Frankenstein has its roots firmly in the tradition of Gothic horror.
