Each story has it's own storyline and contain most of the literary techniques. Each movie has a storyline and contain most of the literary techniques also. Since the beginning of the school year we have read 3 short stories provided by Ms. Alvarez. "Blue's ain't no Mocking Bird", "Lullaby", and "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings". Also, last week in class we watched the movie "El Norte". I compared both the movie and the stories

with Enormous Wings", the man does not know how to respond to the people because he does not speak their language. That is also an example of a "Language barrier". In the movie "El Norte" Rosita and Enrique did not speak english. During their journey North, and when they arrived North one of their biggest problems was learning the language around them. Both short stories and the movie have language barriers in them.
