sillusionment of all kinds, it's is hard to find the kind of idealist that Wuthering Height and Return of the Native each began with having; by the ends of each story, it is easy to see why. It is a sort of sad !
concept: that dreamers are ultimately punished by the very quality that made them. Love usually starts it all. Love creates fantastic fallacies that disappoint when hope is extinguished.
