Image is an important part of our lives today. Image drives our actions, reactions, goals and accomplishments. One fundamental part of image in today's society is commercialism and advertising. These two driving forces portray their own image, which is sometimes truthful, sometimes not. Several industries in the U.S. have adopted a deceitful and irresponsible campaign structure to promote their goods and services. Two such industries are producers of alcoholic beverages and weight reduction products.

promote the safe use of their products, they counteract their advancements in this area with the perception of carelessness and freedom through their products. The alcoholic beverage and weight loss program industry, while completely different, do have one thing in common: their use of deceitful advertising, which leads to irresponsibility among the users. This, in turn, makes advertisers irresponsible themselves, not for the products they sell, but for the image the use to sell them.
