Communication and the way we (society) communicate has changed throughout our history. Newspapers, magizines, T.V., radio, and most recently the internet all are very popular means of communication. Film is also used to convey messages and teach lessons to a generation that would rather watch a movie than read a book. The violent portrayls of war burn the images of suffering and ultimate dimse of human life to the viewer. It in no way glorifies war, but shocks the audience with the reality of it. It can even inspire people to help in a way so they/or their children never have to experience any thing like this.
