The opinions from the readings made me recognize the true aspects of Chinese culture and ultimately the conditions of certain family members. The views assumed about filial piety and how families were administrated was a big misconception on my part. By researching this fascinating culture I was able to obtain a better understanding of the impacts filial piety and how families were impacted by this belief.
