Most of our technological advances have been positive and have helped in developing our society as we know it today. However, technological progress also has downfalls. r the entire world to be destroyed by a singe mishap. This happened with the Doomsday Machine in the film Dr. Strangelove, and could have easily happened in Cat's Cradle with ice - nine. In the end I believe that we will end up causing our own destruction. Things that can destroy the world are not safe with anybody, and there is no way to tell who will come in contact with them.
