Throughout the play, Cassius changes from a shady, somewhat cruel character, to a man of greater regard. The reader or viewer, at first, is inclined to dislike this Roman because of his exploitation of the loved Brutus and others. However, in the end, he gains esteem because of his intrepid death and his admission of his wrong-doing. Cassius changes for the better, and dies a decent man.
