In the small Carl Sandburg Park behind the house, his ashes were placed beneath Remembrance Rock, a red granite boulder. Carl Sandburg was a famous American poet, folklorist, novelist, and historian. He was extremely talented and had a 3 great mastery of words. He used his writing talent most of his life. He was excellent (Allen 302).
