The following day Texans captured Santa Anna himself. They forced him to sign a treaty granting Texas its independence. Afterwards he was sentenced to an execution. Santa Anna requested for his bed which was brought into the camp. He laid on it and didn't sleep a wink that night, being of constant dread of his Assassination.
