Introduction In this paper I will focus on the character of Geraldine. She is the carrier of this power and at the same time a victim. Christabel is innocent and kind. She is unprotected; her mother is dead, her lover is far away. She is helpless and easily dominated. The idea of supernatural power is the strongest vision of darkness throughout the poem.
